OBJECTS OF THE ASSOCIATION.
1) To actively engage in the practice of Theatre of Relevance philosophy ( and undertake all necessary initiatives, interventions, and actions deemed fitting to holistically actualize the TOR philosophy that is
A Theatre that commits its creative excellence to make the world more “Better & Humane”.
• A Theatre relevant to the context of the society and owes its responsibility, not to Art just for the Art sake.
• A Theatre caters to human needs and provides itself as a platform for expression. • A Theatre that explores itself as a liberation of human for constructive change and/or development.
• A Theatre that comes out from the ‘limits of entertainment’ to a way of living & empowerment.
2) To liberate and emancipate artists and theatre practitioners, including but not limited to actors, performers, writers, directors, backstage artists, etc., fostering an environment conducive to their creative growth and well-being.
3) To perform plays with the aim of creating new horizons in the realm of Theatre and the broader Theatre World, pushing boundaries and exploring innovative expressions. ie traditional, modern and digital methods- online and offline.
4) To ideate, innovate, and experiment with new thoughts, translating them into tangible forms through various performing arts such as plays, music, dance, mime, craft, painting, sculpture, and allied arts, both in India and abroad.
5) To comprehensively document experiences through various mediums including verbal, non-verbal, and digital formats such as film, photography, print, videos, posters, etc.
6) To publish periodical magazines, papers, and newspapers, internet, electronic media contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and ideas within the artistic and cultural communities.
7) To undertake training and research initiatives aimed at nurturing visionaries and creators, encouraging questioning, experiential learning, analysis, and the pursuit of visionary ideas.
8) To create, preserve, and showcase the aesthetic aspects of theatre, architecture, and allied disciplines of art, ensuring their cultural and historical significance is maintained.
9) To break away from traditional norms of theatre and art, actively engaging in the creation and evolution of new forms, pushing boundaries and embracing innovative expressions.
10) To use performance art to explore all dimensions of human nature and the world, promoting peace and harmony on Earth and in the Universe across political, social, educational, cultural, religious, environmental, spiritual, and economic spheres.
11) To establish, regulate, and administer academic institutions, including universities, training centers, and training and performing centers dedicated to the pursuit of artistic excellence.
12) To facilitate individuals, groups, communities, society, states, nations, and the world in evolving as better human beings through artistic and cultural enrichment.
13) To raise the consciousness and conscience of all Indian citizens, upholding constitutional and democratic values, including secularism, socialism, equity, brotherhood, fraternity, harmony, biodiversity, linguistic diversity, geographical diversity, ethnic diversity, and all existing diversities of India for justice and peace.
14) To instigate a cultural revolution through non-violence, the pursuit of truth, and the "Theatre of Relevance" artistic movement.
15) To build Natyagrams, including performing theatres, studios, rehearsal halls, training centers, libraries, multi-purpose audio-visual theatres, seminar halls, accommodations, housing facilities, hostels for performing artists, yoga centers, etc.
16) To establish and build Theatre Artist repertoires, supporting the development and recognition of talented artists within the theatre community.
17) To form aligned networks with like-minded theatre personalities, groups, academies, individuals, and artists both nationally and internationally, fostering collaboration and shared artistic endeavors.
18) To receive/give cash and kind contributions from individuals, groups, organizations, and all those who believe in the Theatre of Relevance philosophy, supporting the trust's mission and activities.
19) To regularly review and evolve new aims and objectives, adapting to changing contexts and challenges in the pursuit of actualizing the Theatre of Relevance philosophy.
